RUSSIA: WORLD HOCKEY CHAMPION 2009!!!
Russia has gone undefeated at the IIHF World Championship in Bern, Switzerland to win the gold for the second straight year, again beating Canada, this time 2-1 in regulation time. Goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov made the difference, stopping 37 shots. Oleg Saprykin and Alexander Radulov scored Russia's goals, but Ilya Kovalchuk took the tournament MVP honours.
